Fitted once, after the water meter.

We recommend a plumber for the first installation. The system prices do not include it. From then on, you change the cartridges yourself.

If your home is on the stretch of coast between Altea and Torrevieja, we do the installation ourselves. It is quoted separately, because it depends on the distance and on the materials each installation needs: a typical job within a 20 km radius comes to around €150. You get the price before you buy anything.

Where it goes

As close as possible to where the water comes in.

Just after the water meter or the main stopcock. That way the system protects the whole installation and stays within reach for changing the cartridge.

It is compact: 21 cm tall and 7.5 cm deep. The Anti-limescale System takes up 11.5 cm of pipe; the Complete System, 23.5 cm. There are fitting diagrams for horizontal pipes, vertical pipes and tight spaces.

Fitting it needs only a brief shut-off of the supply. Within a few days you notice the difference.

Position and flow direction

  • Fit after the water meter, on the cold mains inlet of the property.
  • The head must always be horizontal, with the arrow pointing the way the water flows. Fitting the body in any other position affects both performance and the guarantee.
  • On the Complete System the water passes first through the pre-filter and then through the doser.
  • Do not fit where it could freeze.

Connections and pressure

  • 3/4" male thread connections. A 3/4" female to 15 or 22 mm compression fitting is recommended, depending on the pipe.
  • Use PTFE tape on the threads.
  • Working pressure 0.5 to 10 bar. If the mains is above 7 bar, fit a pressure reducer.
  • Maximum flow 3,000 L/h. Pressure loss around 0.3 bar. Water temperature 1 to 40 °C.

Dimensions

  • Each body: 115 × 72 × 210 mm. Height once fitted 21 cm; depth 7.5 cm.
  • Anti-limescale System: 11.5 cm of pipe. Complete System: 23.5 cm.
  • Leave clearance underneath to unscrew the bowl and change the cartridge.

Commissioning

  • Check the condition of the pipework before fitting and check for leaks afterwards.
  • Open the stopcock gradually.
  • The doser has a non-return valve built into the head.
Maintenance

Changing the cartridge, in 6 steps.

You do it yourself, without a plumber, in a few minutes. The same goes for the anti-limescale cartridge and the stainless steel pre-filter mesh.

  1. Close the stopcock

    The one on the inlet side of the unit.

  2. Bleed the water

    Put a small container underneath and open the bleed valve at the bottom to empty the unit.

  3. Unscrew the bowl

    Turn the body anticlockwise and take out the used cartridge.

  4. Fit the new cartridge

    And close the bleed valve.

  5. Screw the bowl back on

    Turn the body clockwise as far as it goes.

  6. Open the stopcock slowly

    And check that there are no leaks.

Our advice: check the level of the dosing cartridge regularly, ideally once a month. The red ball tells you when to change it.
