What data we handle, and why

• Orders. Name, email, phone, delivery address, the products ordered and the IP address the order is sent from (this last one to stop automated abuse of the form and as evidence of consent). We use them to handle the order, the payment, delivery, installation if you ask for it, invoicing and after-sales support. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations (tax and accounting).
• Card payment. Payment is made on a secure Stripe page. Your card details never pass through this website and we never keep them: they are handled directly by Stripe. We only receive confirmation that the payment went through, the amount and the last digits or the brand of the card.
• Contact form. Name, email, phone if you give it, postcode, your message and the IP address you send it from, for the same reason. We use them to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent when you send the form.
• Cartridge reminders. If you tick the box when you place your order, we keep your name, your email address and your language in order to send you a reminder to check the cartridge, a maximum of five times a year and for that purpose only. Legal basis: your consent, which we treat as given only if you tick that box (it is never pre-ticked) and of which we keep the date and the wording you accepted. You can withdraw it whenever you like using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us; unsubscribing does not affect the emails about your orders.
• Cart. The items you add to the cart are stored only in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to any server until you confirm the order.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for as long as the commercial relationship lasts and, after that, for the periods required by tax and consumer law. Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with it, and for a maximum of one year. Reminder list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Once you do, we stop writing to you immediately and your record is blocked: we keep it, without using it for anything else, as evidence that you gave your consent and that you withdrew it, for as long as any liability could arise. If you would rather we deleted it entirely, tell us and we will.

Who we share it with

We only pass data to those who need it to provide the service:

• Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), to process card payments.
• The courier, to deliver the order.
• Our accountants, for invoicing and tax obligations.
• Hostinger International Ltd., our web hosting and email provider, acting as a data processor.
• Google Ireland Limited: the typefaces on this website are loaded from Google Fonts, so opening any page connects your browser to their servers, which receive your IP address and the usual technical data of that connection. No cookie is set for this.

We do not pass data to third parties for commercial purposes and we make no international transfers beyond the cases above.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@foracal.es, stating which right you are exercising and enclosing proof of identity. If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and restricted access to order information.
